DESIGN. Seawatch is a handsome example of traditional Caribbean architecture, with four hip roofed buildings that are connected by covered walkways, patio gardens and a spacious deck. This is essentially a one-level home for only the loft bedroom is accessed by stairs. You park just outside the entry door and enter into a lovely tropical courtyard with majestic views of the pool, sea and sky. The main house is a 2-level building that contains the interior living area and dining area, plus a loft bedroom and bath that is accessed by interior stairs. A large gazebo connects to the south side of the main house and provides shade and shelter for a lovely outdoor living and dining area. The kitchen is separated from the main house by a small garden patio. The large master bedroom and the guest bedroom are in a separate building on the other side of the pool. Exposed beam cathedral ceilings with ceiling fans, mahogany and glass French doors, interior gardens, arched and screened windows, terra cotta tiled floors throughout, romantic night lights, and spacious decks create an inviting and relaxing tropical atmosphere in this well charming and comfortable home.

LIVING. The living room is furnished with floral rattan furniture and accented by Caribbean wall hangings and accessories. For entertainment there is a 23” cable TV/DVD, AM/FM/CD stereo and iPod, plus high speed DSL internet.

DINING/KITCHEN. You may dine in the dining room at the inlaid mahogany table seating six, or outside under the gazebo at the table for four. The kitchen is located off the dining room and includes a countertop bar with bar stools, a dishwasher, microwave, electric stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, blender, coffeemaker, telephone and a complete assortment of dinnerware and cookware. A washer/dryer is located off the kitchen.

BEDROOMS. Seawatch was remodeled in 1996 and a new spacious master bedroom suite (king bed) with an adjoining office was added. The former master bedroom (king bed) is located in a separate but adjoining building. Both air conditioned master bedrooms are furnished with nightstands, lamps, artwork, closets and accessories and both have mahogany French doors that open to gorgeous views. Both have fully tiled master baths with garden showers, linen closets and a locking safe. The third bedroom is a loft bedroom located in the main house with a king bed, tiled bath and shower.

CARIBBEAN VILLAS COMMENTS. Seawatch has been owned by the same attentive owner since it was built in 1986. Numerous additions and upgrades have been made over the years – a new master bedroom and office, new and enlarged deck and gazebo, a hot tub, Wi-Fi, kitchen remodeling, etc., etc. - to keep Seawatch current and attractive. In many ways, Seawatch is a much more appealing home now (2010) than when it was built. This home has been lovingly maintained and has always been a very popular rental home. With its large deck area, a/c master bedrooms, centrally located pool and sun all day, romantic hot tub and 10 minute access to Cruz Bay, Seawatch is a good choice for small families.
